My Saddle Fitting Services

Initial saddle fitting appointment:

I offer a comprehensive independent saddle fitting service, the first fitting of your horse will include:

An assessment of their conformation, movement, previous injuries and any current issues.
Templates to assess the shape of the horse’s back
An assessment of their current saddle or one you wish to purchase.
Assessment of the suitability of this both statically and ridden.

• Any necessary adjustments to the width or flocking of the saddle.

Adjustments/ Repairs:

I can offer small on-site adjustments to the width and flocking of the saddle. Outside of an on-site saddle fitting appointment, I can also undertake minor repairs such as replacement girth straps and complete a full re-flock if pre-arranged, more information about this can be found

Follow up appointments:

Following the initial fitting, I offer regular fit checks ensure your saddle continues to support your horse’s muscle development and comfort throughout any changes of workload, weight or periods of time off. This will include a templates to record changes to the musculature development, a full static and ridden assessment and any necessary adjustments.

Recommended every 6 months.

New and second-hand saddles:

I can offer a small selection of second hand saddles to be fitted to your horse and for you to try out. I also have access to The Saddle Bank's stock and I can bring these to your fittings. If you do purchase a new saddle, I am happy to take part-exchange on your previous saddle or take your previous saddle on to sell.
